The story so far
Wavio was founded in 2024 after its founders spent years integrating various WhatsApp solutions for clients — each one fragile, expensive, or locked into a vendor ecosystem that made customisation nearly impossible.
We built the first version over a weekend using the open-source Baileys library, and the response from developers was immediate. People wanted something self-hostable, transparent about what it was doing, and priced fairly.
Today Wavio is used by developers and businesses across multiple countries to power customer support, marketing broadcasts, two-factor notifications, and workflow automation — all via a single API.
